The song "Yassou Maria" and Sarbel have been chosen to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Helsinki in May. With its multi-ethnic rhythm being one of the song’s assets, "Yassou Maria" stole the limelight and was unanimously chosen by the audience and the jury, garnering 39.69% of the votes. The results of the voting process came as a surprise, as the stage performance and Sarbel’s passion and talent managed to lure both the audience and the jury into voting for him.
