European Youth Portal The European Commission launched its European Youth Portal http://europa.eu.int/youth on 26 May 2004 with access to more than 10.000 websites in 20 EU languages. The portal has been developed by young Europeans for young Europeans and contains everything you need and want to know about Europe which is relevant to young people from travel, to study to working in another EU country.
Exploring the World of Opportunities The European Youth Portal has five main sections: studying, working, volunteering / exchanges, your rights and portals for young people. The portal also contains information on Europe, current affairs as well as different opinion polls reflecting the attitudes of young people today.
If your thirst hasn’t been quenched by the information available above, a further section of the portal provides the international dimension with links about travel and work in destinations further a field such as Australia and the Caribbean, not forgetting our new Member States of course!
The European Youth Portal encourages young people to get involved and appreciate the scope of possibilities available to them in the enlarged Europe and beyond.
